Orchestra Moderne NYC is raising funds for a ground-breaking music production featuring internationally known conductor Amy Andersson and Emmy Award-winning composer Lolita Ritmanis, at Lincoln Center in October 2019. This unique concert will honor the strength and heroism of global activists fighting for social justice, environmental causes, minority rights, gender equality, and for the end of child labor, honor killings, human trafficking, and domestic and sexual abuse. A cultural tour de force whose time has come, this project will highlight the achievements of past and present activists who have risked their lives in the name of women’s rights. Combining a moving symphonic score with compelling visuals, this project gives voice, hope, and inspiration to women and girls around the world with the mantra, “We will be the change we want to see in the world. “
Funds raised for this project go directly to Music Resonates, Inc, 501(c)3, which supports Orchestra Moderne NYC. Your contribution to this project will support production costs at Lincoln Center, and a DVD of the performance that will be distributed for free for educational purposes in schools and universities. All profits from the concert will be donated to charitable organizations supporting educational opportunities for women and children.
